Rest days for the next paddock
- Where the mob can go next. Rest days on each paddock count from the day the mob left. Move stock when those days show the forage has recovered.
- The paddock just fenced. Mark its corners on the map, or drop a corner from where you stand. A polywire break and a permanent paddock use the same drawing. The move stores when the mob went in. Rest days start when they leave. Residual, height, maturity, and a photo can go on that paddock.
- The mob that follows. Sheep onto the block the cattle just left. Optional.
- The last pass on that ground. Prior paddock outlines, forage notes, and photos for that spot. Compare this pass to the last one.
A record for each animal
- Who the animal is. Tag, name, photo, species, and breed. Pedigree still reads after the animal leaves the farm.
- The chute and the breeding record. Weights and body condition. Breeding, due windows, births, and nursing.
- Treatments and leaving the farm. Meat and milk withdrawals. Sales, deaths, and butcher. Reports list withdrawals, due dates, and latest weights.
- A sheet you already keep. Import from Excel or CSV. Records do not require mobs. Cattle and sheep, and you can add others.
Forecast on the next move
When you plan the next paddock, that day's forecast sits on the move. The phone also shows the days ahead, rain since the start of your growing season, and a warning when conditions cross a threshold you set.
The forecast refreshes when you have signal. The last forecast stays on the phone for the pasture, and grazing records never wait on it.
